Working while you study

The University of Mauritius says international students may be authorised to work up to 20 hours a week. You apply through your institution's admissions office, which passes the request to the relevant Ministry. You need a letter requesting authorisation, your offer letter, your passport copy and your residence permit copy.

If you move to a full-time job, tell your institution. Your student residence permit is cancelled and your employer processes an Occupation Permit. Ask your own institution to confirm the current steps.
